Postage

United Kingdom customers. 

You can collect your order in person if you live locally. Select the "Collect in person" option when you check out.

UK postage is free for orders of £20 and above. This is Royal mail 1st class Sign for postage. You can uograde your postage when you checkout.

For orders under £20. 1st class postage is £3.49. It is added automatically when you check out your basket.

You can also pick from Sign for Royal mail delivery, and Special delivery with Royal mail. 

Special delivery is recommended for Sterling silver blanks and jewellery. Unfortunately, if your order is lost in the post, precious metal items are not insured unless they are sent Special delivery.

It is your responsibility to make sure that your order is protected against loss in the postage system. 

International orders.

We welcome orders from outside the UK.

Tax payable for your destination is calculated in your cart, when you check out.

Please allow extra time for delivery. It usually takes 1-2 weeks for orders to arrive.

Orders made from outside the the UK are not subject to refund or return. Please be aware of this before you buy.

For Worldwide customers outside the UK

International postage is £10.

We only send orders using Tracked and signed Royal mail delivery. This is so we can keep track of the jewellery. It is also insured by sending it this way. We will send you the tracking details after shipping so you can track it too. We do understand it is not the most affordable way to ship orders but after orders not arriving in the past, we do not send any other way now.

How we contact you with order confirmation messages.

You will get an email from us confirming your order, usually within 12 hours. These are usually from crystal-chips@hotmail.co.uk.

If you have not received an order confirmation email within 24 hours of placing an order, please check your junk/spam email inbox. For some reason, our emails tend to go into junk or spam filters.

We are in the workshop Monday to Friday. Saturday is reserved for craft fairs, and special events, and Sunday's is our day off. Please don't expect a email from us on Sundays.


What is the timescale on orders.

Most orders are completed and posted within 3-4 working days. Very large orders, Special orders and beaded items can take a few days longer. 

We don't make jewellery or blanks on weekends and bank holidays, so if you order Friday, Saturday, Sunday or on a bank holidays. Please take that into account when waiting for your order to arrive.

How are the orders packaged.

All orders are now sent in sent in eco friendly paper and card packaging. It is all able to be fully recycled. 

All metal blanks orders now packed in tiny paper bags.

We place jewellery orders in velvet pouches, and metal blanks orders in pretty organza pouches. although these are not able to be recycled, they are re-usable so they are eco friendly. If you would prefer your order without the velvet or organza pouch please let us know. You can add a gift box from our accessories page.


What are the last ordering days for Christmas delivery.

The last day for guaranteed Christmas delivery are as follows;

United Kingdom 13th of December

Europe 8th of December

USA and Canada 1st of December

Australia and New Zealand 1st of December.


Do you close at Christmas.

We have a holiday over Christmas and the new year, every year. We accept orders until the 13h of December then we close down for Christmas and the New year. 

This is because ordering parts and longer postage times effect what we can make and send close to Christmas. We open again on the 2nd or 3rd of January (depending on the bank holiday). All orders placed between 15th of December and 3rd of January will not be processed until the 4th of January.


What happens if i don't like my order.

If you are unhappy with your order please contact us. UK customers are protected by Law and have a 14 day cooling off period on all orders that are not custom made, altered or specially made with your choice of options. 

Any custom made orders,  altered items, or items made with your choice of options items are not covered by our guarantee unless broken or damaged. This in in accordance with UK law on custom made items.

Orders placed from outside the UK are not subject to any return or any guarantee policy, and will not be refunded, re-made or replaced.


Can i pay after i order (on account)

We are set up to take payment at the time of ordering and we do not allow customer accounts.

 Can i add to an order that is waiting to be made.

Yes you can. We have a postal option for that in the checkout. Click on the "Add to my order" postal option and you will not be charged any more postage when you place an order to your order we have received in the previous few days.


Can i ring to place an order.

Yes you can. We will be happy to talk to you. You will still have to pay online with paypal, or going through the website to pay. We do not have a card machine that allows payments without the card being present.


Do you have any other selling outlets.

We sell on ebay (as Crystalchips) and Etsy (as CrystalChips) as well as this website.

We also have a small page on Facebook (as  Crystal Chips jewellery).

We sometimes attend local events but at the moment we are not in any local shops (the local craft shop we were in unfortunately closed).


How do we contact you.

Can we alter the jewellery to suit (alter the beads, sizes, metal or design).

Absolutely. Please get in touch before ordering if you are wanting to alter the length, metal or bead sizes if they are not in the listing as an option. Otherwise order as normal. Most bead options and length choices will be the same price. If there are any price issues we will get in touch before we make your jewellery.


Do you offer special discounts.

We offer a 5% discount for order of £100 and over and a 10% discount on orders over £200.

This is on top of the discounts we give for ordering our metal blanks in sets of 10.
