Here is some useful information about our website, how to place an order, and how to pay.
When you look at the items for sale you will see lots of different choices.
For our jewellery we have options boxes for metal choices and sizes. Click on the options you want. That will bring the correct price onto the screen.
The metal blanks have lots of different sizes, thicknesses and metal choices on offer.
The "order info" box is where you type in whatever information is asked for, and any other information you would like to add.
If you are not sure exactly what beads you would like but you know the general colour you would like you can type something like "pale pink crystal" or "bright red gemstones" into the "order info" box. The sizes of the gemstones for the piece of jewellery should be shown in the listing.
If you are unsure if the beads you would like are available for the price, please type them into the "order info" box anyway, and continue to order as normal. Most beads will be the same price as the ones listed.
If there is a price difference we will contact you and let you know the price difference. We can also offer a different choice or a full refund. If you would prefer to leave the box blank and let us help you with your choice that is absolutely fine. . The order won't complete unless something is typed into the box, so please put a full stop, or anything else, just so the order will add to your basket.
For special orders we will email you to ask you your exact requirements. If you request it, we will email you a picture of your finished jewellery for your approval before we send it, so you can be sure of what you are buying before it arrives.
We make the jewellery in pretty much any size. Just type your length choice into the "order info" box. We will make your jewellery in the size you have requested. Please be aware that the maximum bracelet and watch size is 9 inches and the maximum necklace size is 21 inches for the prices shown. We will happily make longer jewellery for a small extra charge.
Ring sizes. Type your ring size into the "order info" box. If you don't know your ring size you can wrap a piece of string around your finger, open it up again to get the size and let us know the size in millimetres. Type your size into the "order info" box.
We also make one-off pieces designed by you, so if you don't see what you want please email us at crystal-chips@hotmail.co.uk We are always happy to help you get your perfect piece of jewellery, so please do get in touch if you would like to.
UK orders of £19.99 and under will have a £3.49 postage charge added.
Orders from outside the UK have a postage charge of £10. Please see further down the page for more details about International orders.
You can collect in person, if you are local to us. We are in Williton, West Somerset. UK.
We use a secure Paypal run website. You don't need to sign up to paypal to use it , and you can pay with pretty much any credit or debit card.
If you are having any problems or issues please email us or give us a call. We are friendly and happy to help. You can use the contact us using the form on the website.
You should always get an email within 24 hours of placing your order or sending a questions.
We are in the workshop Monday to Friday. Saturday is reserved for craft fairs, and special events, and Sunday's is our day off. Please don't expect an answer to emails, or messages on sundays.
If you haven't received a email about your order, or your message, please check your spam filter in case our email was accidentally put in there.
We will email you to confirm your order using the email address that we receive payment from, so if you only use it for paypal and never check it then please supply a different email address in the message box when checking out. Please do check your normal paypal email address if you haven't got a reply.
If you would like to add something to your order that is absolutely fine. Just buy as normal and when you are checking out please select the "add on order" option in the postage and shipping section. As long as your order has not been posted or shipped you can add the items to your order without being charged any more postage or shipping costs. If you are not sure if your order has been sent you can email or call to check. We are always happy to help.
Delivery within the UK.
UK postage is free for all orders of £20 and over, using 1st class Royal mail postage. This is not insured against loss. You can up-rate your postage to sign for, or Special delivery at checkout. Special delivery is insured against loss if your order is lost in the post.
If you choose not to insure your order and it is lost in the post them unfortunately we can not re-make your order as Royal mail do not cover jewellery or precious metal blanks of any sort that has been sent using 1st class post.
If your order is under £20 then please be aware that £3.49 postage is required at checkout for postage of small orders to make sure we cover our costs.
We are very eco friendly with our packaging. All orders are now sent in fully compostable or recyclable cardboard and paper packaging (including the tape). We do include a satin, velvet or organza pouch with each order. Although these cannot be recycled, they can be re-used or gifted onwards. If you prefer not to have a pouch please let us know and we won't include it.
All international orders.
Tax is not included in your order.
Please check the tax that is payable in your country. The rates vary depending on your location.
You will be required to pay tax on your order before it is delivered to you.
If you would prefer to pay the tax at the time of ordering, please go to our Etsy or eBay shops to order. Search for Crystalchips, and you should find us straight away. They have the systems in place to sort out the taxation, so you don't need to worry about paying it later, which is much quicker and easier.
We send all our international orders using "Tracked and Signed". This stops items getting lost in the mail, and non deliveries.
The price of this is £10 per order. You will also need to sign for the order when it arrives. We do not send international orders in any other way. You will be given the tracking details after shipping so you can see how your delivery is progressing.
